Circ. Evidence that Jeff Gannon was tending his services to WH staff
Edited on Mon Feb-14-05 04:22 PM by bspence
Jim Guckert used his alias Jeff Gannon while he was a prostitute. He set up the website as Jeff, the 'testimonials' on the site refer to him as Jeff, and his pictures on those sites are titled "Jeff1.jpg" "Jeff2.jpg" etc. It's established that he used the name Jeff Gannon while he was whoring himself out.

That leads us to the question: Why did Jim go by "Jeff Gannon" when he became a journalist?

Because the people he was dealing with KNEW HIM AS JEFF GANNON.

2. that may be circumstantial evidence
.. but it's not PROOF in and of itself

String together sufficient evidence (direct and circumstantial), and then you've got Proof. Your hypothesis is a good induction and may serve as an important piece of the puzzle down the line.

It's interesting that the guy's "journalist" alias
and his manwhore alias are the same.

9. Just his "whore" name
Same work, different Johns.

Of course: "Gannon" (the Cannon!) is obviously a nom de hooker.

20. Note that the background check was for Guckert, not "Gannon"
Was he advised by someone to do this, who was clever enough to get around the fact that "Gannon" was a whore, and get him into the WH in spite of the fact that he solicited clients for sex online, advertising himself with obscene pictures?

4. I know, not really proof
Edited on Mon Feb-14-05 04:19 PM by bspence
...but you have to admit, that's the only reason why he'd still be using the name Jeff Gannon while he was a reporter.

Scott McClellan is used to calling him Jeff while getting 'special' briefings

6. You've got something there
I was half-consciously wondering about that -- but not to the point where it really registered. You've put your finger right on it.

Or to grab it from the other end -- if his other life was a secret he was trying to hide, he'd have done everything he could to keep it compartmentalized. The fact that he didn't ever bother means he knew he didn't have to worry about it being found out.

10. Did he use the last name--Gannon--during those four
years he was whoring? (Not that he might have whored for more than four years...)

But did he use the name "Gannon" then? Or just Jeff?

13. Not 100%
But Gannon certainly sounds like a prostitute nickname.

Gannon : Cannon

I'm really not interested in looking through gay porn sites to find out. Someone less squeamish can do that.

The point is, White House staffers called him Jeff. Whoever introduced him to the White House staffers most likely was using Jeff's services.

Someone in the White House is paying for butt sex. Which isn't exactly news, but y'know, I'd just bring it up.

15. I don't even care about that, but I do care that any kind of sex
seemed to have had a role in getting this crazy guy into the White House press.

Who put him in there?!

19. How did he find out about Valerie Plame?
"Bulldog" has a testimonial from a satisfied client that he is not only a hot stud, but a good conversationalist, who discussed politics.

I am wondering if a member of the elite circle who knew the secret that Valerie Plame was CIA mentioned it to "Jeff" in his capacity as "journalist", or as a client of his stud service.

Yet another reason the Bush WH refused to investigate the Plame leak.

18. ah HAH! His background check was for Guckert, not "Gannon"
Did the FBI/Secret Service who conducted the background check not think to investigate his alias? Was he advised to do business this way by someone who understands such things?

I think you're on to something....

If "Jeff" had been a whore who posted obscene photographs of himself to solicit clients for sex in his reckless youth, that would have been bad enough -- but the fact that his career as prostitute and "journalist" overlapped boggles the mind.

I was asked to list any previous names and pen names. I cannot imagine this would not be asked for WH clearance.

23. He could still have listed Jeff Gannon as an alias
There's nothing for us to believe that Jeff Gannon had been caught doing anything. A background check on that alias might not have found anything.

Of he could have, you know, not told them about Jeff Gannon.

I don't know why, but I love this story. You couldn't make this stuff up.
