Men want women to propose marriage on V-Day, Zogby poll
Remember that ridiculous online survey Zogby sent out a few weeks ago? Well, he's posted his results. Apparently all you single men are anxious for your girlfriends to propose today. Milk chocolate edges out dark and beats white by a landslide. A real mandate for milk chocolate across all demographics.

"Single men in long-term relationships would rather their significant other proposed to them than send them flowers for Valentine's Day. That's the finding of a Zogby International online survey of 29,131 American adults nationwide, conducted from January 24 to 31, 2005. The survey has a margin of error of +/-0.6 percentage points.

The poll, timed to coincide with Valentine's Day, finds 63% of unmarried men in long-term relationships say it would be fine for their girlfriend to "pop the question." Meanwhile, 57% of these same single men in the survey say women should send men flowers on Valentine's Day to show them they love them.

For women, though, the numbers are much closer. While 64% say it would be acceptable in their own relationship for the woman to propose, 65% say it's acceptable for women to send men flowers for Valentine's Day.

In a separate question in the same poll, milk chocolate edges out dark chocolate by a 43% to 38% margin as the confection respondents would prefer their significant other sent to them on Valentine's Day. White chocolate trails at 9%. The preference for milk chocolate holds across both genders, though women are somewhat more likely than men to pick dark chocolate."
