Who are you wanting in '08?
Edited on Mon Feb-14-05 01:25 AM by Adenoid_Hynkel
The generic, oft-repeated question - but it's been a while since I saw an informal poll with a completely open response.

So who's your pick?

Since Dean's out for now, I'm going with Bill Richardson

anyone but that DLC automaton hillary

2. he was always great on politically incorrect
saw him once on a panel with nader and michael moore and they were all great together talking about bush's energy policy. great sense of humor on the guy-hopefully, he could keep that charisma going through a campaign

and he's great on the issues, too

4. i've always liked him.
personally, i'd vote for a sick salamandar if it wasn't a neocon. but i'd be DELIGHTED to vote for richardson. i like what he says and i think he's a decent human being.

7. the only downside
is that the rw will try to smear him with the los alamos story (sp)

but they'll try to smear anyone, case in point-swift voat jackoffs for horseshit

richardson could overcome their flimsy evidence that he was somehow responsible, though

11. Anyone but Kerry
Flame away if you want but I feel that with GW's inagural approval rateing around %50 and dropping like a rock shows that our canidate was the 'greater of two evils' in the eyes of the voters (uninformed as they may be)

12. I want someone who is going to fight like hell.......
I want someone who will not mince words
I want someone who stands up for the ideals of the Democratic Party
I want someone who can gather the masses to his/her side
But most of all I want a President who represents me.

13. Hard to say.
I'd happily support Boxer, Richardson would be good, as would Edwards, or Clark.

In the end though, I'd want a Edwards/Clark ticket, or Clark/Edwards. They have the right appeal to the average American, and what the average American can support. Military, and working class background.

15. Haven't done a TON of reasearch on this,
but right now I'm liking Clark. Granted, we have 3.5 years until this matters, but he's my preliminary favorite.

I'm also keeping my eye on Wisc's gov Jennifer Grenholm. Not for '08 but in the future. She doesn't take shit from anyone.

23. I want Al Gore as my president
I think with Howard Dean as DNC Chair, Gore's prospects have risen appreciably.

Gore has a lot of support from rank and file democrats like myself who would sprint to work on his campaign and this plays right to what Dean is going to do vis-a-vis grass roots organizing for 2008.
