Bill O'Reilly, Sexual Harasser who touts judgements on "personal behavior"
Edited on Sat Feb-12-05 02:03 AM by Eric J in MN
From http://moveleft.com

Fox News host Bill O'Reilly

Bill O'Reilly is a sexual harasser.

This is documented in the lawsuit by Andrea Mackris, a former producer of 'The O'Reilly Factor,' and discussed in previous articles here.

Last week, I presented some of Bill O'Reilly's hypocritical statements on President Bill Clinton , who was sued by Paula Jones for sexual harassment.

Here is one more.

A statement Bill O'Reilly made about President Bill Clinton on Feb. 4, 1999 ("Bill O Reilly Wants You To Shut Up" by Jack Shafer, Slate, Aug. 28, 2003):

There is no victory for any American in the impeachment trial. The president should be ashamed of himself, and his partisans should shut up.

Similarly, there isn't a big victory in Bill O'Reilly settling his sexual harassment suit out-of-court while continuing his blather on Fox News. Bill O'Reilly should be ashamed of himself. He should shut up.

Especially by refraining from telling us how "many Americans" are against "judgments about behavior" as O'Reilly said in 2001, and "secularists do not want any judgements made about personal behavior" as O'Reilly said in 2003.

Recently, Bill O'Reilly seems to prefer ranting about "secularists" to ranting about "many Americans" in describing people supposedly against judgements-about-personal-behavior.

A secularist is a person who believes in separation of church and state.

I am a secularist, and one of many Americans who has made a judgement that O'Reilly's "personal behavior" toward Andrea Mackris was obnoxious.

Bill O'Reilly's insertion of the word "secularists" where it's irrelevant is an exploitation of religious differences.
It's an attempt to confuse people about the meaning of the term, and concoct a religious issue where none exists.

My advice to Bill O'Reilly:
Promote tolerance instead of appealing to the worst in people.

He's so old news. I can't believe anyone watches his claptrap! If I catch a view of him while flipping, all I can think of is loofahs, falafels, and an odd buzzing noise.....ewwwwwwww!

3. Maybe he should be old news, and this
article I just wrote is definitely based on old news, but Bill O'Reilly is still the #1 cable news host.

22. I hope people realize someday that his rhetoric about "secularists"
is just garbage to divide people religiously.

2. Promote tolerance instead of appealing to the worst in people.
Bill O'Leilley IS the worst of people.

"People" is using the term loosely.

7. I agree and I wish that more blogs would link to the series
Edited on Sat Feb-12-05 11:42 AM by Eric J in MN
I did on my blog about Bill O'Reilly's hypocrisy and the sexual harassment lawsuit.

Some bloggers seem to think it's just old news, but rightwingers wouldn't drop an issue like this against a liberal commentator so fast.

I'm grateful to the website "Crooks and Liars" for giving me a link today:

I'm listening to a Pink Floyd song with that line, and it seemed apt to a thread on Bill O'Reilly's hypocrisy.

started using the word "secularist" for the first time in her life to describe another relative, I knew that either Liely or Limpballs had been trotting it out. :puke:

10. O'Reilly constantly uses that term, even when talking
about progressive taxation, which has nothing to do with secularism.

(Bill O'Reilly is agaisnt progressive taxation and describes supporters of it as "secularists.")

Rush Limbaugh still says "liberals," as far as I know. If there is a regular Limbaugh listener who can comment on this, please do.

11. I was a listener many years ago :(
I used to watch rushie on tv. It was a slow process actually. I agreed with him in the beginning, but something happened. I don't know what it was, but little things he said started bugging me.

Words like feminazi got to me and finally I saw that he was a sexist homophobic racist pig.

I'm so glad the programming didn't take.

after he ranted that protestors are "filthy...animals," I had enough.

12. Does O'Reilly Attack Homosexuals?
Ever since I learned that he enjoys the sensation of having penis-shaped implements in his ass, I've wondered about his take on homosexuality.

...But I don't watch, so I don't know.

13. O'Reilly about gays
Edited on Sat Feb-12-05 02:40 PM by Eric J in MN
On the one hand, Bill O'Reilly says that it's fine if the law is changed to let gays marry.

On the other hand, he'll rant against "secularists," saying secularists think it's acceptable for two gay guys to make out in public.

19. it will also
define "elitist" as anyone who disagrees with Bush, no matter how rich or poor.

Laura Ingraham uses the word "elitist" as frequently and incorrectly as O'Reilly with "secularists."

15. O'Reilly and the vibrator he used on himself
The lawsuit doesn't make clear in what manner Bill O'Reilly used the vibrator on himself as he talked to Andrea Mackris.

Your guess is as good as mine:

And being that he talks out of his ass, it's quite possible he was using it on his mouth.

Well taken.
