It just dawned on me (Iraqi "elections")
It just dawned on me that Bush had his propaganda ready for his SOTU speech, so the elections had to be before his speech. If the elections had been delayed, his speech would have been a complete dud. The Iraqi woman, Soldiers mother set up was one of the most brilliant pieces of propaganda I have ever witnessed. The Whore media kept referring to it as a home run. I'm rambling!

1. I know. That smacked me in the head last week too.
I can't imagine why I missed it, with every media outlet covering the obvious connection 24/7 as they did.....

5. That's the point
If the elections were held after his SOTU, people might be talking about what a cluster fuck it's been. Deaths continuing, Chalabi possibly coming into power, Shia-Iran ties, etcetera. The majority of the public has forgotten now and will only remember the SOTU stunt.

7. Smirk could heist up his leg and fart on national TV and the
media would call it a homerun.

9. No you're not rambling-- you're absolutely right.
They definitely timed the elections for the SOTU.

In the long run though, it won't matter. The insurgents don't care about the elections and our guys their people are going to keep dying, and the country is going to go through hell for many many years.
