Rumsfeld says that the it will be up to the Iraqis to defeat the
insurgency (at least he didn't say terrorists) and take control of their country. So, the country only belongs to the army that we train. Which country belongs to the insurgency? The one they used to live in , love and run, or none at all?

Spin spin spin.... don't they ever grow weary of their rhetoric... imagine how Rummy would be crying if the insurgents had a prison, had our boys in it and returned Rumsfeld's hospitality. Wouldn't he be boo hooing all the way home.....

1. Hey, that's the Bush(co) philosophy

Make a mess, leave it for someone else to clean up.

After you've skimmed what there is to grab for you and your friends.

2. That's because US troops ...
are being shifted to guard the pipelines.

The robber barons don't care what happens with Iraq as long as they control the oil.

3. The Insurgency?
Who are these insurgents? Now it has been told that there are around 15K insurgents. Only around 1K foreign fighters, non- Iraqi. What are the goals of this Insurgency? The official story is that the insurgents are against Democracy but what are they in favor of?

If a future Iraqi Govt. is comprised of Shi'ites, Sunnis and Kurds and based on Islamic Law what are the insurgents going to be fighting against?
