Freep #1: "Yea, you can't talk about the Iraq war because you're not there. So you should just shut the fuck up."

Freep #2: "Yep. Just like that guy that shot the Iraqi while he was down. What you don't know is his friend died the day before in a similar situation. So it's more understandable to me."

Freep #1: "Well it's like world war 2. We shot Germans as they were running away. Because if you don't, they'll just shoot you later!"

7. It's pretty liberal...

ABQ is liberal. This county voted overwhelmingly Kerry.

The newer/wealthier/suburban parts of town mostly voted for Bush so I try to stay near the downtown/university area where there is a higher percentage of liberals...

But, 2 or 3 times per week I have to work. Very conservative attitudes at my job. :(

And, yes...very beautiful place.

9. I find myself faced with an opportunity

I recently (the day before the election) lost my job of 10+ years. Now I could leap back into the frey and get another job at some random place. But I have decided to try to find a job either in some field or some company that I actually can have some passion for.

I don't think I can tolerate another 10 years of working for a company that I care nothing about. An apt decription of the last job I had was I helped other people design places for other people to put their asses when they went places. Not exactly a job one dreams of.
