Of course Repubs are apalled. They react to truth like Dracula to Garlic or a cross.

Seriously, O'Malley must have them scared shitless in Maryland.

1. I just saw the appalled look on Wolf Blitzer's face on CNN.
That was enough to convince me that he is the new patron saint of Dems. I love how this guy said he was more worried about what Bush would do to his city than what terrorists would do!

5. What do you mean?
I gave up CNN on November 3rd. Was O'Malley on with Leslie?

11. CNN did a report on Omalley and his wife coming forth
and explaining how the ugly gossip affected their family. They also showed some interesting quotes by O'Malley about Bush, and the gov's comments on the dismissal of the Aide that allegedly slandered and/or libeled O'Malley. It was more of a (biased) news report, not an interview.

2. Rising star is a tempting target
He attacks the Bush lie machine...he must be stopped. His family will feel the wrath of Con.

3. Sounds like they already tried with Ehrlich's fired aide
which looks like it took any negative repercussions off O'Malleys comment (not that the comment deserves any) off as the hot story.

We need more guys like this.

4. This is the Rove Doctrine
Take a statement and distort and blow it up and force the target of the attack to deal with the invention. O'Malley attack is preceded by the Mother of recent Con distortions: The Wellstone Memorial.

7. Yeah but in this case the instigator
(or the scapegoat for him) resigned. Not a bad developement. Makes Ehrlich look pretty bad.

6. We need to give O'Malley props and support. Is there a Dean/O'Malley
meet-up planned?

9. let them know you support them
If you, or anybody else has the time, maybe drop him a "thank you" e-mail or some other form of contact, to let him know that people DO support him. I always take a few minutes to write e-mails to people willing to stand by themselves, whether it be Barbara Boxer, John Conyers, or whomever, I always write a little e-mail telling them that I appreciate the work they do and that people DO support them.

Anyways, if you want to send him an e-mail, the address is mayor@baltimorecity.gov . Take a moment to let them know that the people do stand behind them, not against them.
