1. not much of an option...
I had a few science and history classes with conservative proffs...but every other field, especially political science and social sciences is dominated by liberals (and socialists) Guess what I'm majoring in. ;)

...off all public schools to private educators who won't teach evolution or science, but will indoctronate our children with religious superstition. Plant of the apes!

4. It's Affirmative Action
They support quota systems to encourage diversity when it helps conservative white guys, just not if it helps minorities.

8. Universities are okay to them

Top schools like Yale, Harvard, Princeton, etc. also have top business schools that teach one how to make money, which is always a good thing to Republicans. They also get their share of Republicans, though some are probably the socially moderate to liberal types.

Also, going to a top University allows conservatives to say, "See what school choice has done for our higher education system in this country?"

And, by that age, the conservative will hopefully have had 18 years of Freeperness ingrained into their system that won't be able to be dragged out by 4-6 years of college.
