1. The election is this Saturday the 12th. I'll be at Dem HQ all day

volunteering for cleaning up in preparation for new paint and flooring soon, and then a Committee Person training session. I'm sure we'll have the TV's on, though. Hope it will be televised. Anyone know?

We are partying Saturday night. I'm putting out a vibrantly colored new USA flag to celebrate the new vibrancy of the party!

4. I'll be unfurling my American flag at work after Dean officially becomes

DNC Chair.

My flag sits in a flower pot on my desk at work. I rolled it up and used a twist tie to keep it rolled up the day we launched our immoral war against Iraq. Underneath it and taped to the stick it is on, I posted a quote from Father Thomas Merton and one from the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.. King's quote is underneath a picture of Picasso's Guernica.

Dean's election as DNC Chair is the first step towards taking back our country and Howard gives me hope. The next step is to increase Democratic strength in Congress to oppose Bush's corrupt policies.
