blind eye to the "oil for food" scandal!!!
i heard this a couple of days ago and forgot about it till now.. anyone else hear this..

The deal is we allowed Saddam to sneak oil through Jordan & Turkey (our good friend). This was allowed since Jordan has no oil and relied on Iraq for all of their imports prior to Gulf Oil War I...this was the quiet payoff to King Hussein for playing ball with the Oslo Accords and establishing relations with Israel.

With Turkey, they were the major destination point of oil from the northern Iraqi fields. When the flow was cut off in '91, their economy tanked...this was a way of buying them off...a chip Bunnypants tried to play when he tried to force our troops into Turkey on the eve of the invasion and Turkey said no.

I hope there's someone out there monitoring what Voelker and the rest are saying...along with the truth about the investigation and this scandal. Then...lets take those same names and see if they tie to ones in the BCCI scandals.
