8. Strangest election I've ever heard of
Iraqis don't know WHO is on the ballot because candidates won't announce their candidacy let alone campaign because they are afraid they'll be executed.

The interim government won't tell Iraqis WHERE they can vote until the last possible minute because they are afraid polling places will be blown up.

10. The last I read, there were 7,000 candidates on the slate
Even though they are in groups, it will take hours for any one voter to find a candidate for which to cast their vote. Then they have to walk away from the voting center with a big black indelible ink mark on their hand. Target pratice anyone?
