I will not even BEGIN to discuss alternatives, especially in a manner that will have them rolling in the aisles in the lounge. ;-)

10. NO, they wont cause traffic problems
Just tie it on your car tight... I'm in construction so i tie ribbons on ladders all the time to alert people... Trust me, its not a hazard.
