Will the DC Metro be closed on J20?

Someone mentioned this in the panic room, said they'd heard it on the news. I went to the Metro website (http://www.wmata.com/) and clicked on the link to "Riding Metro to Presidential Inauguration brochure released" and the link comes up with this:

Status : 504 Gateway Time-Out

Description : Unable to connect to origin web server. The web site you are attempting to access is currently unreachable. This may be due to a network outage, or the web site might be experiencing technical difficulties.



Same thing happens when you click the link to "Metro outlines service planned for inauguration week."

How Orwellian--an information alert that tells us nothing. :eyes: :grr:

1. It scheduled to be open

Several stations were due to be closed during the inauguration but Metro itself is supposed to be open. Looking at the maps of the closed and blocked off streets it will be the only way to get into the city. Of course, the plans are subject to change as they keep telling us. You can also try <http://www.wtop.com> or the Washington Post, they are keeping pretty current on closures.

The building I work in is right at the edge of the "closed to all traffic" zone so we are closed on Thursday. I think they are going to start the road closures on Wednesday at 3 or 4 pm, just before rush hour.
