Bush Admits He Was Wrong, Hell Freezes Over....
"Bush regrets language that hurt diplomacy"

"WASHINGTON - President Bush pledged to be more diplomatic, saying he regretted sending the wrong impression of the United States when he used phrases like “Bring ’em on” and “dead or alive” in his first term."

14. rove could see that it's been nothing but
a DISASTER..the Insurgents were talking about it the other day..saying something like .."we Are bringing it on"..really taunting bush on it.

They don't admit mistakes but this couldn't be let go unnoticed.

We'll see if it has any effect on the Iraqis.

12. That's SOP (standard
operating procedure). Deny, deny, deny, until the day comes that Jeb announces and runs. There are some similarities to WMDs, now that I think about it. They were there, there, there, til they weren't. I feel powerless indeed.

Just pay no attention to that quagmire over there in that country whose name he shall not speak.

He is the peace president.

He is diplomatic.

16. Hi, zidzi.
Yes. I keep hoping that people in other countries will not judge us by this president.

Because we have no quarrel with them. It's only Bush and his neocons who want to bomb the hell out of everybody.

Thanks for your post.

23. Hi Crusoe..
If we were reading about these times in our history books ..we would be incredulous! Just like we are about.. how the Germans could have let hitler get so far.

Here's to something happening in the not too distant future that will bring us back from the brink and turn our Country around!

18. he regrets it only because its now being used by the other side
and it drives a stake into the heart of everyone with a brain each time they use it. It could hurt him and that is the only reason he gives a rip. He could have said this two years ago.

28. Unbelievable!
Edited on Thu Jan-13-05 10:20 PM by Heaven and Earth
I didn't watch the interviews in question, but if this is accurate...wow. There is no hope for Bush the president, but there may yet be hope for Bush the person.

(disclaimer: hope for Bush the person is not to be construed as approval of anything that Bush has done which is contrary to the values of America. Which is everything, so there. I do believe he should be held accountable for what he has done, including the treasonous things. statement null and void in the event of influence of polls)

32. Expressing "regret" is enough for a president, but not for an anchorman.
In any other job, people get fired for screwing up. In this administration, people get rewarded.

(Did he have any regret about the words "crusade" or "axis of evil?" Or maybe it was just the bombs that "sent the wrong impression of the United States?") :(

Demon: Sir, we have a problem.
Satan: What is it now?!
Demon: Bush...
Satan: Yes...?
Demon: Bush... he told... he told the truth for once.
Satan: F--k! Oh! Now I owe Jesus $20...
