Is anyone going to admit that Bush is being destroyed?
Lawnmower race gate - unbelievable
Paid Shill gate - unfathomable
Rebirth of torture gate - keep widening
Gonzales gate - birth of a flop flop
Voting fraud gate - forced some recognition by Coyers etc.
Tsunami Aid embarassment

Offensives
Stealing christmas - flop
Change of tactic on Delay - kind of debunked

As someone who has a good feel for the realtime rage on Yahoo boards, the Connies are whalloped right now. In terms of the armstrong bribe, they are split between racial slurs of Armstrong and "We support Armstrong" - so no formal defensive talking point has been issued yet.

That's just off the top of my head, but the score is about accutate overall. For Bushies, it's been mostly defense and they suck at that.

2. bush could rape a baby on TV -- live and
we would be shocked and scream for his removal from office.

But it doesn't matter what he does -- he owns the courts, and both houses.

(rape a baby on TV is the very worst thing that I can imagine that he hasn't done YET.)

5. This is why Bush's poll ratings suck
He is not a popular president and he has no mandate! The SSI 'reform' that he wants to push through as well as his other regressive initiatives are in real trouble.

There are enough mod Repubs to join with Dems to block these, but we have to get our act together and begin a push to stop these initiatives. (Mod Repubs can be pushed and threatened to not vote for these regressive acts. They are our friends. They are scared that they will face electoral retribution for voting for these RW nutjob proposals.) Bush is a very weak president and he can be neutralized.

6. add this too
letting china become a superpower while we go bankrupt morally in iraq
the destruction of our military and the ability to rebuild it because of the war in iraq
the ability to develop new weapons
the reemergence of the russian military goal of countering us abm`s and their success in doing so
the rebellion that is growing inside the armed forces about their role and the ability to retain troops and to equip them
the tearing up the geneva conventions which means our troops or citizens maybe tortured at will in countries that decide to.
cutting the homeland security funds where they are needed the most
and last on my list-living up to everything bin laden has said about the people who run this country and helping bin laden succeed in the destruction of our democracy.
to me all this adds up to at least one or more charges of treason.

7. Part of me agrees with you because there are so many
progressive groups, sites and blogs out there that it's mind boggling. Progressives and Greens are collaborating on many fronts across the whole country.

On the other hand, I've heard something like 10 -20% of the population is aware of all the destructive stuff the admin is doing. My own experience from informal conversation with a wide array of people (not DUers)is that they don't have a clue.

We have to close the information gap somehow.

11. 20% is probably high
I tried talking sense to friends and relatives during the election - probably 50 people - yet, only about 2 or 3 had a clue. Over half said Bush invaded Iraq because they attacked us on 9-11, and the bad economy was caused by Clinton. Bush is so brave, god-like, and moral, we must support him without question.

10. Think "NIxon"...
all we need is to take back the House in two years, and we got him impeached.

We might even be able to do it with just a few really pissed off Republicans.

Face it, nobody really likes this guy-- they just support him because it's their job, or for party loyalty.

(There's other jobs, and loyalty only goes so far.)

12. And sadly, the conservative media spins everything in his favor
I can't believe there are people out there who think that this chimp that claims to be our president is doing a good job. He isn't. And I still see a lot of Bush/Cheney bumper stickers, which really ticks me off.
