He had called us up and told my spouse that he had a really bad feeling about this tour to Iraq because of some things that had happened prior to deporting. The Marines held them at a secure undisclosed area with no contact for almost two months in southern California ...it was eerie ...
this is a kid who was mad at his parents and enlisted a few years ago after high school grad in June and then we invaded Iraq the following spring ....probably happened to alot of kids ...
on how he's doing. My son, also a Marine, left today for his base. He's supposed to leave for Iraq sometime within the next two weeks. He was there for 5 months this past year. We feel very lucky to have had him home for two weeks during the holidays.
