Bush: We provide...35 billion (with a b)
The transcript is cleaned up, but in his answer to the first question today, he clearly said we'd given 35 BBBillion.

video (in 2 or 3 minutes- I don't see a time marker in this format)
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/mmedia/politics/122904-5v.htm

snip from inaccurate transcript>

First of all, we provide immediate cash relief to the tune of about $35 million. And then there will be an assessment of the damage so that the next tranche of relief will be spent wisely. That's what's happening now.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A33367-2004Dec29_3.html

Why do they still clean up for him?

3. CNN showed the insulting line to the UN person....
when insulting someone, bush really emphasizes the words, raises his voice, leans forward and gestures.

bush has the filthies potty mouth ever, I think the leaning forward helps him to hold his potty mouth. He really wants to say his favorite word...fuck you UN servant!

5. That's what I heard. And said so in this thread...but
it seems to be in dispute.

I clearly heard him say Bln...You think they have "fixed" that on the tape? How creepy is that? How low have we sunk? You can't "clean-up" the public record!

21. 'Tis true. Cuz 'ya can't make a race horse out of
mule, and Mars like a state of Washington. I hope your in the mule racing business, friend. Because I have an old slow quarter horse that will beat your fastest mule any day of the week and twice on Sunday. But we all know that mules only race against mules, so in that respect they are a goddamn smart animal. LOL!

22. You'll never touch my half quarterhorse half thouroghbred mare,
she has no interest in your loping mule, and shuts down all-comers in the 1/4 mile and the 1 1/4 mile.

Always bet on the bay...but leave the thinking to my mule--there's one smart animal.

it would be an honor to be gonged by you. But, since you are not, I hope you don't get too lonely or cold back there with your loping mule(keep him happy)...but call me sir, not "kid". Don't they teach folks to respect their elders in Midland anymore?

10. I just heard it on MSNBC
He said, " thirty-five ... billion dollars." He paused and then emphasized the B, as if correcting the $35 million figure." And the commentator, who had previously mentioned and I'm pretty sure I have since heard repeating the $35 million figure, said nothing.

Who thinks Bush does this kind of stuff by mistake? Do you really think he's that stupid? I think he does it on purpose, knowing the clip will be shown over and over again, and a lot of people will think $35 billion.
