I was watching the opening of the British Parliament on C-SPAN last night, and Queen Elizabeth was reading a long list of legislation she was proposing be passed. I heard a brief reference to "creating a law against corporate manslaughter" and was extremely intrigued. For all of us following the issue of corporate personhood, this would be a great step forward in holding corporations accountable for the damage they do. Does anyone out there know anything about this legislation?
Like Enron, Worldcom, and let's not forget Arthur Anderson? That's the closest thing I can think of to what "corporate manslaughter" might mean...I doubt that's 'it' though *sigh*
