President Kennedy made a pledge: Bush** does not. Kennedy said
"I believe in an America that is officially neither Catholic, Protestant, nor Jewish - where no public official either accepts or requests instructions on public policy from the Pope, the National Council of Churches, or any other ecclesiastical source" This was said to reassure American protestants that he would not let his Catholic religion nor the Pope to drive policies.

Today, Bush** gets his marching orders from Bob Jones, Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson and the rest of the fundamentalist rightwing "ecclesiastical sources". Hypocrites.
