We have left the comity of world nations. This administration seems to have no interest in bringing us back into it. In fact, the terrible events of 9/11 was a wake up call to the world in terms of international terrorism. Instead Bush blew off the sympathy and concerns of the world to start a war completely unrelated to it. By starting this war, the rest of the world has come to see US imperialism as an even bigger threat.
I truly fear that with less cooperation from the world (in terms of intellegence gathering, etc) we are much more vulnerable to terrorism...and instead of sympathy, we will get nothing but a "we told you so".
I'm not sure if this possible boycott by Europeans will have a huge impact or not. If it gets under way it likely could...and good, it's possibly the only way to wake up the US non violently.
Americans really screwed themselves. This false macho attitude is bullshit. Three weeks later, it still boggles the mind as to how this could have happened.
