I'm an American living in Paris so, I'm oblivious to the US media right now. I haven't seen it on the French media yet either. But, I can tell you that, regardless of the debate as to why the marine shot the man, the question as to why we are there is what is brought forth by this picture. In comparison to the soldier who shot the unarmed boy in the Vietnam War, this shooting brings to the forefront what most of us Dems have been shouting for over a year now, that this war is invalid, that regardless of the governments reasonings, we're not going to support senseless murders. And that's exactly what each killing in this war is, no WMDs, no connections to Al Quaida, no dasterdly plans to destroy the world. History is repeating itself and all too soon and we are too fat and happy to stand up to this disastrous administration this time.
