As many know, My wife and I are devout Catholics, Christians and in our opinion, very moral people.
We also didn't cast our votes based on hatred of gays and of Janet Jackson's breasts.
On Election night, we were horrified at the media's insistance in defining those issues as the issues that motivated ALL Christian/Religious voters.
I am not elaborating further for a very specific reason. My wife, who is the smarter, more articulate and MUCH cuter half of our union, has decided that she wants (and when she wants to, she DOES) to write a series of articles and/or a book about morality, ethics and faith from a blue state perspective.
Feedback and advice from all spectrums of DU, Christians, other faiths and even Athiests and Agnostics would be welcome and appreciated. We respect your opinions and will listen and make every attempt to respond to all.
Thank you in advance. We all have a mission to do what we can to take our country, and our faiths back from the robertsons, falwells, coulters, etc,. of this world . this is one way Maria and I will do it.
Keep the faith (whatever yours is), even in these dark times.
Peace!
BTW, Mods, if I've posted in the wrong place, please feel free to move me and accept my apologies. Thanx!
