Did anyone see prince Harry on Primetime Live tonight??
It was a tribute to his mom coupled with an indictment of our neglect of the suffering of the African continent due to aids. I was seriously affected. I am pleased that a major media outlet actually allowed this to be shown but we must latch on and pay attention to and react to the tiny morsels when they appear. Harry looks like a kick ass rugby player, erstwhile marine, don't mess with me asshole with his mom's heart!

1. I saw it!
And to be fair, Princess Anne was doing work like this years ago, way before Diana was ever on the scene, only without cameras, but I digress. I have met her so I am somewhat biased towards her and the work she does.

Anyway, I was shocked that the mainstream media would let this be shown! I was in tears, and I am convinced that *'s international policies are just going to make the horrible situation worse.

By the way, I am lovin' Prince Harry right now. He really does seem like a wonderful and caring young man. He is at Sandhurst now I believe, and will most likley end up serving more time in the military than AWOL. Even the Queen tallied up more time than him in WW2!!

3. Being...
...a younger generation Aussie (not that young, just born in an era where not everyone is a Royal watcher) there aren't too many Royals I actually like. Princess Anne is one of the few I so totally admire and respect.

4. ...
Princess Anne was amazing and totally unexpected. My charity group expected her to act like a Diva, but she only came with one body guard and an assistant. Even I have more of an entourage than that! She was very down to earth, and she clearly cares more about doing good work than getting publicity for it. When she was on an official visit to Canada several years back, she stayed at a Holiday Inn! That is not something you can say about many celebrities, especially royals. I have heard that her children are remarkably normal as well.

Plus, her mother hates Bush with a firey passion!!:D

I hope that Prince Harry continues his work. He often gets kicked around in the press for doing things that we all did at his age, but I think that underneeth it all he has a good head on his shoulders.

7. That is really good to hear!
Thansk for sharing that with us. :)

Yep! I must admit that since old QE showed full support for gay equality in the U.K. and her hatred for Bush*, that I am actually beginning to have some respect for her again. :)

Harry is a good boy. He is just hard done by, by the press, just like his brother is, and his mother was.

5. very impressive and caring young man, imo . . .
he really seemed to connect with the people he was trying to help, and seemed utterly sincere in his commitment to doing even more . . . it will be interesting to see what direction he takes in the coming years . . . he's in a position to do some good in the world, and seems motivated to do so . . .

8. i like him a lot
the best part was that he just enjoyed himself the whole time. he was doing something good and positive for the kids and others who don't have much. but for him it looked like he was just having the type of fun he could if he was just hanging out with a few longtime friends.
