I saw in WWE Smackdown
Another Pro-War "Support the Troops" segment.

I used to like the WWE, but their pro-war views really pissed me off.

Don't they see that our troops are committed war crimes and they still see them as American-flag-weaving heroes?

Those bastards!

Hence the military stuff.

....kinda funny.

And please stop equating "all the troops" as war criminals.

6. I'll see that scumbag tomorrow night
he is appearing at a local hockey game to drop the puck & sign autographs.

I've only seen him once before, on Crossfire, right before the election telling everyone to vote for Bush.

3. The REAL WAR CRIMINAL is in the White House.
Lieberman and I agree on one thing, and that is we would both love to see the WWE SHUT DOWN, though for different reasons.

The WWE is becoming Bushitler propaganda!!!

8. Not really.......
.......they hated Gore in 2000 for being involved with Lieberman and the PTC stuff, but it was clear Mick Foley was campaigning very hard for Kerry, and they weren't afraid to show he sliced up John Bradshaw during the debate he had with him at the U of Miami. I don't doubt Vince is a big Republican (duh, he's rich!), but they were at both conventions, had Hillary Clinton on talking about the Smackdown Your Vote campaign, etc.

4. Three things.
Edited on Fri Nov-19-04 12:36 AM by Lone_Wolf_Moderate
First off, the WWE is supporting the troops. You can support the troops without supporting the war. I'll wager you do not support the troops since you just labeled them all war criminals. Since I find such a view despicable, I'll end this conversation, leave you to your madness, and not waste another thought.

BTW, I'm a wrestling fan, and I watch WWE every week, in case you were wondering.

5. They are saying "support the troops"
I haven't heard anything about "support the war" in the times that I do watch them.

What was really interesting was that in a vote registration promotion/segment they had Shelton Benjamin, an african-american, talk about Florida being decided by a few hundred votes. I think that they were trying to hint at something;)

7. Right.
They've been deliberately non-partisan. They support the troops, period. Sure, JBL does his right-wing rants, but despite the fact that he's basically a conservative, a lot of that is his gimmick.
