The U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights or the Bible?

For a long time the Bible was the champion misery generator for Third World citizens when the missionaries took with them the noble thoughts contained in that sacred text followed by the murderers and colonial Empire builders from the West.Africa, Asia and Latin America saw murder, genocide and assorted crimes galore for centuries. Praise the Lord and Pass the ammunition is now part of our language landscape.

I think the same noble sentiments and words of the Founders of our country are now being put to good use by George Bush in bringing limitless misery to the people of Iraq, Afghanistan, Haiti,Equatorial Guinea and others. In order to catch GWB's attention, a country must be rich in natural resources or it must be adjacent to a trouble spot. The natural resources-rich country does not require any explanation of why it becomes a target of GWB's covetous eyes. A resource poor country, on the other hand, merits attention only when the leader of that country sets an example for other countries by his selflessness and incorruptibility. That would set a bad example for the looters from the U.S. who need to be able to get in at will and strip the country of whatever little resource it does have.

" They hate us for our Freedoms" Indeed.
