You just know Blair wishes Bush would shut up and sit down. I made a statement once when Bush and Blair had a press conference together about the war in Iraq. That if Bush would have sat down and shut up Blair could have probably gotten more support from other countries. Bush is a moron other countries recognize one when they see one, unfortunately half of the American people don't.

There is such a huge contrast between what these two are trying to do.

Blair is actually doing something kind of interesting. It's basically the UK that created the problem in the ME and he wants to be PM of a UK which makes amends for its impereialist mistakes in Israel specifically.

Bush is trying to do something else: fuck up the economies of all the other countries in the world so that he can rape the US economy of all its wealth without the bubble popping too quickly here. To do that, Bush needs chaos in the ME.

What's going on right now is an interesting dance between Blair and Bush where both think they can get what they want while using the other's actions to help them achieve their ends despite the fact that they know they're at odds. Bush wants to use Blair's involvement in Iraq to take out Labor in the UK so their economy can get fucked up. Blair wants to use Bush's throwing his muscle around in the ME to accelarate democratic governments in the ME and to bring the IP conflict to a faster end.

It's very interesting once you get past the poodle jokes.
