I propose something different,...I propose a "Month of Silence".
Such silence will confuse the aggressive/predatory/consumptionist/arrogant while allowing a space for contemplation by the conflicted; and further providing rest for the humanitarian and advocate for social/economic justice.

Conrtary to certain popular belief, silence can serve as an incredibly impactful and effective tool for change. Silence can certainly STOP whatever dysfunctionally-willed conversation is taking place. Being nonresponsive can initiate a healthy breach from that diseased cycle in which we find ourselves stuck.

Being silent does not preclude an acknowledgement of anything which is taking place in every moment. Actually, being silent begs a NONJUDGEMENTAL acknowledgement of whatever is happening at any moment without expression of any opinion or conclusion.

So,...I propose a unique ACTION,...a "Month of Silence".

1. Actually a month of no TV with letters sent to advertisers on major news
network stations demonstrating their advertising dollar will be wasted unless the media stops being a breeding ground for Repub talking points might very well have an impact.

3. Are you talking about just DU or in life, cuz I don't think I can or want
to do either. Silence when others are cheering will not be noticed. And this regime doesn't seem to care anyway

4. Funny thing, while grocery shopping today I noticed the entire store had
an eerie quiet to it. As if people were just going through the motions.

There seems to be little joy in this part of NC.

especially since the holiday season is coming up. it'd be a delightful rebellion to the consumerist orgy coming up. walking up and down the aisle in full veil and powder, somber faces, and silence. it'd be a great way to damper some of the spirits of these pricks. nothing like a funerary atmosphere to spur consumption, eh?

we can call it 'The Month of Goth.' :)

ps: sorry that should be a :(
