5. Ohhh, don't do that...
A vet deserves better than you singing that song!

Get him the Ashcroft Music Video! Maybe it's available on DVD!

1. My daddy is 550 miles away, but I'll be giving him a phone hug later.
I'll echo your sentiments. I honor all who have served.

4. My daughter's school sent home a form to fill out...
if you have a vet in your family they wanted to know the vet's name, what branch, when did the vet serve, any war action, etc.

This is for a Veterans Honor Wall that was assembled in the school lobby.

Well, my daughter brought home her ONE form, which we scanned and made twenty-four copies -

one for me, one for each of my brothers and bros-in-law who are vets, one for each of her grandpas, one for each of her dozen or so great uncles going back to WW2, one each for her two cousins who served in Iraq, both of them back home (for now).

So I guess we sent our hugs all the way back to December, 1941.

7. What a GREAT idea
I always thought that I stunk that the kids had school off while the veterans had to go to work. I am going to pass this idea by my son's school. Thanks!

8. I just called my 83 year old step-father and said Thank You
WWII Vet, He said no one has ever thanked him before. He was very touched.

9. Thanks
Thanks for the reminder. My mind has been in a fog that I've completely forgotten that it was Veteran's day.
