the only reason Hillary leads the declared candidates in national polls…
has to do with name recognition.

that's the only logical conclusion based on the fact that most Americans apparently don't even know who the Dem candidates are.

1. I think its also because
Self-hating FReeper-types really want to see her run.

A Hillary Clinton campaign is ideal for FReepers everywhere:

-it gives them a feeling of self-worth
-nothing unites the idiots like hatred
-it lets them kiss Bush's ass even more
-they feel that Bush would wipe the floor with her (quite the contrary)
-for once, they would finally have a cause (defeating Hillary). Thats why they got so behind that Ten Commandments crap

8. You forgot...
That until she declares herself as a candidate nobody pays attention to her stances on the issues.

2. Which is Why Lieberman "Leads" in the Bogus CNN Poll This Weekend.
The Stop Dean Movement by the Corporate Whores within the Democratic Party is getting pretty desperate.

Dean, Kucinich, Braun, Clark, Graham, and Sharpton are all about to really find out how little the Party Establishment cares for them.

7. CNN even says their polls aren't perfectly accurate.
As long as Bush's approval ratings are this low Dean and Kerry will lead the race. Should the economy suddenly start to get good, Lieberman may have a shot.

3. Okay, Hill has promised that she will not run for Pres
but that did not rule out her accepting the nomination of VP.

That would score big on whichever gets her.

Now, she wouldn't be breaking her promise. Remember Bush saying "A promise made is a promise kept."? (recently heard Medved saying "well, X statement was a campaign promise, that's not really a lie" in trying to spin about W's lies. He forgot about "A promise made is a promise kept.")

What else could they dig up that they haven't already run through so many times that you could read the newspaper through it?

4. Ahhh! Never thought of that.
Now that just might do it. Make Hillary the VP candidate. Great idea. I like it.

10. Hang around
Somebody said first they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you; pertaining to politics. It's same on DU. Except at some point I guess they accept you. I guess.

5. I agree somewhat, especially with regard to Holy Joe,
most people in this country are not political junkies like the evil DUers or the pukes at Lucianne.com and FreeRepublic.com. Not that many people as a percentage of the whole population watch the 24/7 cable political talk shows. They are just not interested. Wait until the Iowa Caucusus and New Hampshire. Predicting the future will be a more exact process.

9. Partly, but there is also strong support
for a Hillary Clinton candidacy among Dems.

If she were to run (which she won't), she pretty much would become the frontrunner and cruise to the nomination. There is a lot of love for Hillary among Dems because of their feelings toward Bill Clinton.

11. Folks, there is one and only one reason she leads
total fucking ignorance........she leads "DECLARED" candidates. She isn't one; and the mindless (2/3 can't name one of our candidates) don't even know that!!! They just pick a name trying to sound not dumb. That's why Joe is picked when they give a list of our candidates---they, huh, kinda remember that name from somewhere. The name recognition as a household name will literally be AFTER enough primaries are completed and a definite candidate is picked. Right now half of these morons couldn't give you tell you the maiden name of their own mother.......
