7. I think this is a healthy response on a lot of levels
It's very easy to feel powerless right now. So making a statement by how I spend -- or don't spend -- my dollars is very appealing.

I'm debt-free except for my mortgage, and that's a really great feeling. I didn't realize how credit card balances were dragging me down mentally until I finally gave up the plastic habit. Now I use one card, and pay the balance in full each month.

And I'm beginning to discover the value of not having so much STUFF. So many THINGS. There's plenty of stuff I just don't need in order to be content -- I've definitely become a believer in the "live simply" philosophy!

:)

5. What do you have in mind that we should do?? as far as I can
see we have no voice now..we just have to hope this administration goes up in flames..also on the other end we have a war that we will not win and many, many deaths, our money going down the drain, jobs leaving this country at a outrageous pace, etc. I look at the LBN and everyday I see thousands of jobs leaving this country..Kerry would sure have a mess on his hands and they would have impeached him so maybe this pain we have to face is part of the recovery..at lease I have hope this will happen...we just have to see how this whole thing washes out.

6. We lost our voice in 2000
Time to get used to living in a fascist single-party state.

8. Think locally
make sure progressives or at least moderates are in charge of your local offices, especially sheriff. The Repuke candidate here was soundly trounced by the incumbant (Independent) because the Repuke wanted to establish a police state, and even the rednecks didn't cotton to that! Our incumbant sheriff pretty much leaves everyone alone, and that's how we like it.

Also think locally in your spending habits. What neighbor works on cars, and will be willing to barter? What neighbor has produce or eggs for sale? Who is a good carpenter/repairman? We've had a network like this, working mainly on barter, for years now. Several of the folks are even off the grid, and we're looking to do that soon, as we're thinking electricity may become unreliable and pricy. We haul our water and heat with wood, so we're set there. It is an ok lifestyle and one can live cheap and yet be comfortable. But it helps to have good neighbors.

9. Their Most Vulnerable Point
Edited on Wed Nov-10-04 06:52 PM by m berst
They will never be as vulnerable as they are right now on the voter fraud issue. ALL Americans will support an investigation into the elections if they have an opportunity to make the decision before it is too late.

We can argue and debate until the cows come home about this, but keep in mind that if this election was stolen - as I and thousands of others believe it was - someone does know it: the people responsible for doing it. Do you think there will ever be another chance??

Please - read this article before deciding:

Do We Still Have a Democracy?

10. I agree with the author of this post
We don't have much time. I would like to recommend a link...

http://www.infowars.com/listen.html

It's a radio show by Alex Jones that I listened to today. If you really want to be shocked, listen to this. He'll be on tonight and you can use the Internet.

I am very scared and wondering what to do. Some might say I am going over the top, but the more I read, the scarier it gets. I think we will be living in a nazi/fascist state soon (ok, maybe we are now, but it's hard to admit), and shrub has some plans up his sleeve to make even more of this happen. Another link that goes with the above is...www.prisonplanet.com. I just want to add, two years ago people were telling me what I've learned recently and I thought they were nuts. Now I am a believer (and very sad).
