You're not gonna like this,
but there's something we need to think about. It was proven that the 2000 elections were rigged, and now there are serious allegations about the 2004 elections. Now, use all the logic and reasoning you can muster, and think: Why would any faction who would go to those lengths to obtain and retain power leave any remote opportunity for "mere mortals" to take away that power? Why would the opposition simply concede, against the will of the majority of the people (and you'll never convince me that we're not the majority), before anyone has a definitive outcome?

Am I suggesting that we stop fighting? Never. Should we give up hope. Never. I'm only suggesting that this might be bigger than any of us realize.

Ok, flame away. I need to go buy some more Reynolds aluminum.

3. Nope
I'm afraid it wasn't. There are some questions that need to be answered, but no smoking gun yet.

8. Yes. Voting devices that can be easily hacked and are unrecountable
prove that the election was fixed.

There is no other reason that America was forced to vote with these devices.

None.

2. If you take the time to research the history of the bush regime, you'll
understand that what you're learning is not preposterous.

Tarpley.net is a fascinating place to start.

5. I think they'll fight it with everything they've got
and since Kerry conceded, I'm not sure they haven't threatened a few people regarding their families.

Note to self: Next time support a candidate with no family.

6. No flames here.
I agree with you and history will prove that you are right, however, it's small comfort for the Hell we are about to be put through for the next four even possibly twelve years.

9. so what do we do......
how can we rise up, how can we ever hope to win an election if they are all fixed, the notion is preposterous, we need savvy operatives like the ones they have, we need thinkers, that can legally one up them.

11. We have lost the right to vote
meaning we have lost the ability to influence who governs us. Democracy is in a coma.

12. Far from flaming you
I think we need to keep talking about this to anyone we come across. Fixing the many ills of our voting system must be our only concern, because everything hinges on that. We need a state by state groundswell to get rid of BBV and false counting on optical scans and the astonishing (not) amount of cronyism embedded (so to speak) in the entire system. Oh, yeah, and deep six the freakin' electoral college.

13. we all are feeling this
Only a few have the courage to speak it. Thanks.

The possibility of never again having a real election is much worse.

15. I've been thinking the same thing.
"this might be bigger than any of us realize."

I felt like something was amiss when we were told on election night that we'd fight until each vote was counted. We were told by cnn that the Red Sox owner offered the use of his private plane to fly Kerry's lawyers to Ohio to oversee the counting of the votes. The next morning, only hours later, Kerry conceded, with a very unhappy-looking John Edwards standing to the side.

Even Jonathan Turley (the expert on constitutional matters) looked baffled about Kerry's early concession before all the votes were counted last night on "Countdown".

Was Kerry threatened in between Edwards' "every vote will be counted" speech election night & his concession speech? Was a phone call made?

I've even wondered about the CIA. They've been known to build & dismantle foreign governments. I know the CIA is divided about GWB -- it's no secret that there's a faction inside the CIA who detest him -- but is it possible that this is a political coup? Poppy has ties to the CIA, being an ex-director & he continues to get their daily briefings.

Is there a shadow government?

There is no way in hell this idiot won this election fair & square. I think Kerry knows this, too, but something is preventing him from fighting it. The DNC-related mailings don't mention anything about election irregularities.

What the hell is going on?
