It is only us, the grass roots that are doing it

I am sorry but it turns out that Kerry is a huge disappoint to me

We are the ones fighting for a rcount...

It is not if you win or lose, but just giving up?

Dean did have the passion and heart, Kerry had neither

1. Wouldn't you love to hear what Gore is thinking about all this, now?
Just a five minute conversation with him and a few of us....

Then, again, there are one hell of a lot of "fly-on-the-wall" conversations I'd like to hear.

5. vote fraud
I will forever respect Al Gore & Jesse Jackson for fighting the fraud in 2000. Jury is still out on Kerry. Vote fraud is more important an issue than even the election itself.

3. I emailed Kerry...
I emailed Kerry yesterday asking him to please look into these "discrepancies", and there are just too many of them to ignore. Him and Edwards made a pledge to make sure every vote was counted, but that should also include that every vote is properly and fairly counted.

4. Gore Would Have Conceded with a 300,000 Vote Margin
So would any candidate. And we don't need a recount so much as a fraud investigation or an audit. It's better for everyone that the push does not come from the candidate, which would make it look like sour grapes. There are many examples of candidates pursuing recounts when the margin was too great and it always ends up badly.

A fraud investigation, however, is fertile ground, especially if there are some good investigators and prosecutors involved.

6. I disagree
If there was fraud involved, Kerry should be hopping angry

9. I Agree Kerry Should Fight
although it's better for him not to be front and center. There's no way it can be spun into a Kerry sour grapes story. I'm actually glad Nader is involved in this one -- it's more his style.

Gore conceded prematurely when 16,000 votes were mistakenly subtracted from his total. He certainly would have conceded with a 300,000 vote margin after all precincts were reporting.

7. Gore was behind by 537 votes in Florida and won the popular vote.
Kerry was behind by 136,000 votes in Ohio and lost the popular vote.

It is an invalid comparison. Kerry had no choice but to concede.

8. How to know what the true numbers were....
How to know what the true numbers were.... given all the voting machine "irregularities. "

10. exactly. These are two totally different scenarios.
I'm sick of people attacking Kerry over this. Who in the world wants Kerry to be President more than Kerry himself? No one. If he thought there was a chance, he would have gone for it.
