Hello DU!
I probably should have done this earlier, but better late than never I guess. Seems some folks around here don't take you seriously unless you have been around for awhile, I can respect that.

I am here as a result of finding DU from my postings before the election on the Kerry Forum and other Blogs. I kept seeing references to DU and finally I e-mailed a friend I had made on the Kerry site and found this place.
I have learned allot here and hope to learn much more.
My hope is to be an active poster and relevant here.

I am a very proud liberal Democrat from the very RED state of Georgia. I am a guitarist, a writer and columnist for a nationally distributed music magazine, and I love the freedoms of this country. I see those freedoms eroding day by day under the Repubs regime. I fear for the future of my country. That is why I am here in a nutshell, to discuss, cuss, and raise hell until things change enough for me to shut up. It looks like I might be here for a while.
I look forward to meeting and gaining the trust and respect of members here.

I am never afraid to speak my mind; but I will try to be mindful of the views of everyone!

I am relatively new here myself, and I suppose I should have introduced myself as well.
But alas I should started posting and I must say I don't get a lot of people that respond to my post.

I think a lot of people here assume if you are new then you are a freeper, however I can understand them being cautious of people coming here.

Although I have never given anyone any reason to believe that I could possibly be anyone other than the person that I am, which is a hardcore very proud Liberal.... who also lives in the Bright Red State of Texas!

Like I said I wasn't sure about protocol, as this is my first foray into forums.

I have been lurking for a long time before registering.

I felt like I could contribute to the dialog of discourse and add whatever I could to the debate.

I have been in the graphic business, musick soundscape artist, and I'm starting to learn video editing.

... to introduce myself.

During the election, I traveled to the swing state of Nevada to win it for Kerry. We came close, but unfortunately, we failed in Nevada. My own home state of California was a bit too close for comfort. 10 points isn't enough. New York was 18 points. DC was a very proud 90-10 in our favor. Good for DC. We should all be like that!

In normal life, I am a writer and former elementary teacher. I heard about DU from a friend who has been posting here forever.

I look forward to many discussions here!
