1. We need to stop taxing the business community
Might as well end all taxation of UN-earned income while we are at it. :puke:

2. DNC chair
Clearly the DNS needs some fresh leadership. It's like analyzing why a plane crashed. Planes shouldn't crash. When one does it's important to spend however much effort is needed to figure out why it did crash and if there's something that can be fixed to prevent similar types of crashes from occuring in the future. In the case of the Dems, there are a whole bunch of things that can be fixed. One of them is to really figure out what are the issues to emphasize and which issues to compromise or even abandon. What are Democratic values? There is no answer to that question; it's a set of ideals and groups that is constantly evolving. Fifty years ago, racial segregation would have been considered a Democratic value. It's not today. Both of the major parties are coaltions of various interest groups, and these coalitions shift with time in order to pick up more votes.

3. Are you asking the freepers to compromise?
Edited on Tue Nov-09-04 11:33 PM by Jack_DeLeon
Or are you saying that people who want to compromise on those issues are freepers?

If so then I'm glad I dont want to compromise on the guns issue, I wouldnt want someone to claim I was a freeper.

We shouldnt comrpomise on guns. We should completely abandon gun control.

4. We should clearly get off the gun issue.
being the party that most of the congressional gun grabbers belong to is not good for us. gun owners drummed dem representatives big time in 1994 after the retarded "assault weapons ban" was passed. gun owners cost al gore tennessee and arkansas and may have even cost senator Kerry big time. I am a proud gun owning democrat. I own well over 20 firearms, including some of what were once known as "assault weapons". I have concealed carry licenses from Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and Florida. I can legally carry concealed in 31 states. I hate gun control and the authoritarian mindset that stands for it. I hate the fact that so many in this party that supposedly stands for liberty want to steal from me the very tools that insure that liberty. rant mode is now off.

5. I have several guns all legal
there is such a thing as responsible gun control.I don't feel the need to carry a concealed. (tho, I am gay, and if I were still running around at night I would. )There are limits to all freedoms however. as in unlimited/uncontrolled sales in southern states to be sold unliscensed in the north. and the gunshow loopholes. Armour piercing bullets and some tinkering. ALL STATES HAVE DIFFERENT NEEDS.

6. Point by point on your post...
"there is such thing as responsible gun control. I don't feel the need to carry concealed" agreed, I'm glad you don't feel the need.

"unlimited/uncontrolled sales in southern states to be sold unliscensed in the north. and the gunshow loopholes"
that statement is patently false. all retail firearm sales anywhere in the United states must go through a federal firearms licensee. therefore, there are no uncontrolled retail sales anywhere in the US. this "unliscensed" selling in the north that you refer to is already illegal by federal law. there is no gunshow loophole, as anything bought from a dealer still has to get the federal background check. You refer to "armour piercing bullets and some tinkering". armor piercing bullets are already illegal, I have no idea what "tinkering" you refer to. No, states don't have different needs, we all have the same freedoms, some states have decided to kill some of those freedoms.

7. they do not want, nor have need, to compromise...
It's their way or the highway...Anything less proves to them we have no morals...I've read and heard enough gloating this past week to anchor my opinion in stone...
