Kerry newsconference snippet on pbs a moment ago
Forgive if this is duplicate post, but I just caught the end of a PBS segment with footage of Kerry in what looked like his Senate Office, photographers flashing all around him... he was saying that he is going to continue to fight (in the Senate) for all the things he thinks the American people voted for ... he mentioned Social Security. That's about all I caught. Did anyone else see more of this?

He looked either subdued or wiped out.

2. Tell him to cut it out.
The more we "fight" when we can't possibly hope to win, the more we volunteer for the blame when things inevitably go to crap. We need to make it very plain that we don't have any say any more. Otherwise, we are just the convenient fall guy.

4. He misread his base -- he should look subdued
Whatever the tactical prospects of holding out until the counts and verification had been done, his base NEEDED it to be done to restore our faith in the process after 2000. Even if he 'knew' he could not win.

I believe that Kerry thought he was salvaging as much of his remaining political career as he could by conceding in such a 'gentlemanly' way, but the base DID NOT want to be 'gentlemanly' about this at all! Not after 2000. Kerry was playing to the 'mediasphere common wisdom' instead of his supporters.

I don't know if he's caught any reaction to that little trial balloon he put up about running again in 2008, but I can guarantee you that if he does run again, his early concession this time will be an issue in the primaries. That's just judging from the reaction I've seen today.

He should look subdued.

I look subdued too, right now.
