2. Just my opinion
but I used to subscribe because it was left leaning. James Fallows wrote a devastating piece about Jimmy Carter just after he quit as Carter's speechwriter. It was called The Passionless President.

The magazine appeared to veer right after that and I quit taking it. I also refuse to read anything Fallows writes.

4. The old time periodical started out as an old Brahmin publication . . .
old stalwart Republican old-monied publication . . . then as money aged, it became inclusive . . . it's always been tipped w/ academia. Fallows joined up sometime . . . maybe 20 years ago . . . I've subscribed to it, hardbound, and have always enjoyed it.

5. I subscribe. It can go either way
But either way I find the writing extremely good and provocative.

That said, I often don't agree with the writers' points of view.

I would greatly miss it if I didn't have it. I get that and Harper's and devour them as soon as they come in
