Could someone tell me what was said on Countdown tonight?
What are the specifics of the fraud allegations/possibilities? Please.

Thanks.

1. I could have been the one article that gets the ball rolling as far
as investigations go. I for one do not believe that Democratic leaning counties voted overwhelming for George W. Bush in Florida. No way buddy, just did not happen.

2. but we on DU have dealt with that earlier (hear me out)
We went back and found that those counties voted for Bush in 2000 and most went for Dole in 96 (perot factor). It's probably the dixiecrat thing. I hope there was more than that on Olbermann tonight.

4. the distinction is
that the reversals all took place in optical scannng
counties. Non scan counties, with similar
registration, showed no reversals.

6. but that wouldn't be a reversal
all the counties in question that we looked at had a repub. voting history...

We worked from that commondreams article - we looked at all the counties mentioned in that article....

they all went for bush in 2000

So...????

11. I just want the truth
Did Olbermann talk about these counties? What other evidence is there?

3. A LOT was covered
He spent over 17 minutes (forget to check the actual ending time) and talked REAL fast throughout -- faster than I'm used to hearing him talk. It was if he either knew he had a lot to cover and wanted to cram it all in, or wanted to talk real fast so as not to get caught.

It was AWESEOME. I hope there's a transcript that someone will find for us.

9. Wow and he just took a shot at O'Reilly over ratings he was claiming.
Edited on Mon Nov-08-04 08:40 PM by Garbo 2004
I missed the early part where I guess O'Reilly may have been saying he had 9 times the audience of MSNBC? And KO said if you check the numbers it's actually 3 times, not 9. And then he said something like "too bad O'Reilly isn't as good with numbers or his brain as he is with a loofah." Had to see and hear it to appreciate the full shot. Whoa. (tee hee hee)

10. summary
talked first about OH and the county (Warren?) that locked down and wouldn't let anyone witness the count. Talked to a reporter from there.

Then went on to talk about some other glitches in OH, but the staggering part of the story was FL. He detailed all the counties that had high Dem registration but voted for Bush and Keith SAID that all the counties that didn't go with their registration (for example, 80% registered Democrats but went for Bush) were all on the optical scan machines from Diebold and the other company. Keith said that all the counties that did not use these machines followed the registration (Dem counties went for Kerry and vice versa). Staggering evidence.

Then he talked to a Congressman about the letter that went to the GAO today.

He then talked about how Nader tried to get a recount in NH today but was turned down from NH b/c he didn't include a check.
