My county went for every Repub candidate - even for the Congressional and Senate races.

edit: BTW, I didn't get that from this map. I was simultaneously looking at the SOS website and this seemed as good a place as any to post my reaction.

3. See, when you look at it by state results
it looks awful. Yeah, I know the red states are mostly the less populous ones. But anyway. That map shows that the truly red areas are much fewer; possibly fewer than the truly blue areas. The rest is all somewhere in between; presumably most of those are swinging slightly right which is why you lost. But see! A fairly small national swing would do it for you. There is hope!
