What can women do for 2006?
Time to get organized, ladies. Now where do we start?

1. A group of us in State College, PA
Left over from our Mothers Opposing Bush chapter (which isn't gone yet) is going to get together for a pot luck (and much alcohol!) this week to discuss how to move forward. Link back up with your local volunteer groups and figure out what to do next... I will keep you posted with what we come up with!

2. Quit fucking Republicans.

Seriously. Take the Lysistrata approach. Ask every man: "Before
you stick that thing in me, do you support my right to determine what
I do with my own body?"

And if they say "No", tell them they can fuck off instead of fucking you.

Ask them: "Do you support the right of any child that comes of this
act to be fed, clothed, sheltered, educated, and given health care?"

And if they say "No", tell them they can fuck off instead of fucking you.

Ask them: "Do you oppose the use of any child that comes of this as
cannon fodder in religious crusades started by impotent old men?"

And if they say "No", tell them they can fuck off instead of fucking you.

etc., etc. ...

4. Well, my partner was a Republican when I found him...
It took ten years of hard work (blush) to get him to this point, but he vows never to vote Republican again. He's voted straight DEM since 2000.

3. Well, I'm still doing the
election reform thing. Looks like we might have a shot at getting Instant Runoff Voting in Maine. At least our governor supports it.
