its time for impeachment
Its time for serious democrats in Washington to think of impeachment ---some sort of charges----and whom to impeach, bush or cheney----its going to happen sooner or later----

At least it would bring the whole Iraq thing to the attention of the press------
How about the murder of 100,000 Iraqi's----

I mean, if the republicans can start one on a Clinton blow job, why cant the democrats come up with something better----dropping dogs, falling off bikes---flipping birds----

19. If we get enough moderates, true conservatives, and a discharge petition
Otherwise, Toxic Tom Delay will shred the bill for impeachment.

4. Okay...one last time...
THERE WILL BE NO IMPEACHMENT.

Impeachment starts in the House of Representatives.
The House is run by the Republicans.
The Republicans are on Bush*s side.
Clinton was impeached by the House because Republicans don't like Democrats.

Bush deserves to be impeached, but let's put this issue to rest until we have a Democratic majority somewhere in Washington and it's an actual possibility.

Thanks.

16. Yeah, you just wait there, patiently in your seat to be called on.
You big REBEL you.

Or are you waiting for the instruction manual?

Yep. You're right.

We should kick back, grab a brew or a little vine, flip on the tube, do a little more channel surfing with all that great, corporate spun media and their little mannequins, all wound up and ready to talk their pre-recorded lies,

I agree. Our leaders are looking out for our best interests arent they?

Hey, how bout that Joe Biden and John McCain?

Now THERE are some class act/true blue leaders that, man, I can really tell how much they care, not really by what they do, its really more what they SAY. Hey, didn't they just join the Project for a New American Century, you know that liberal think tank that is promoting peace.

Yeah, Im not worried. We got it made in the shade while we wait for our Congressmen to give us a shout back on the phone.

Yeah, I think I'll just wait by the phone for my representative to call while our Civil Liberties are yanked from our lives and our Constitution, we need to wait while every single Glacier melts due to Global warming, we really ought to go ahead and wait for a few more extremist Judges to be put on the bench, and gosh, better wait until we "pre-emptively invade" a few more countries, and the one that I REALLY think we should wait for is giving all the corporate fat daddies to outsource all our jobs.

You are just SOOOOO right.

7. not a bad idea.
actually the house dems should bring impeachment to the floor, cheney and bush both on the charges of treason and sedition. the vote fraud, the lies about the war etc...

it wont pass but it will be a statement. no reason not to do it now. and you know what. keep bringing it up again and again with different charges. there is a litany to choose from.

8. I'm with you emc

LOL about the dropping dogs etc.

Some democrats say, oh don't speak about the impeachment word. I say why not?
What is the worse that can happen to us, we already have Bush in the
WH for 4 more years!

Some people say but we don't have enough Democrats in the Congress to win and we are scared.

Well there must be some democrats, like Charles Rangel that have the balls to say the "I" word.

Where is Ramsey Clark? Let's get his Impeachthepresident website.

One thing the recons do very well is ...."Keep the pressure on"

12. The idea is not as ridiculous as it sounds, it's just that...
Edited on Sat Nov-06-04 01:23 PM by teryang
...someone would have to come forward with incontrovertible evidence of serious crime, like treason. A good example would be proof linking chimp and cheney to the 911 attacks (mihop), or the anthrax attacks.

However, that would not be enough. The person would have to have powerful backers among the super rich families that actually run this country and control the corporate levers to protect and campaign for bushco removal. Instructions from this group of superpowerful capitalists would be required to topple bush neo con cable. Once it became clear to policy level officials, in Congress, the FBI, Justice and the CIA that the wind was changing direction, the Republicans in Congress would shake them down in short order. In fact, the Republicans in Congress would abandon bushco in a heartbeat if the ruling capitalists directed that it be done.

However, this is idle speculation. Obviously, Blair actions suggest that the Bush neo-con front has the complete support of the Queen. Support from the Queen is symptomatic of support of the most powerful families of American capitalism. I would expect a serious US/UK rift before American ruling families jettisoned the bushco government.

This may never happen. There are all investors in the industries that profit from bushco right wing policies. Why would they kill the goose that laid the golden egg?

Military defeat that shakes the ability of these powers to defend themselves from outside threats. Financial collapse, recession, depression that affects domestic social order in a way that the families feel their enormous wealth, social position, or physical security is threatened.

18. step away from the pipe and take a deep breath
We all know it's time for impeachment. But if you seriously think there are enough good people in the house who are willing to put their country before their party then you are high as a kite and need to come down to reality.
