Since Wednesday, several of the DJs at my college radio station have pre-empted their regular music programming to talk about the election. They also have invited listeners to call in to discuss their feelings about it.
I'm thinking about doing that with my show, THE SOUL EXPRESS, on Saturday night. It would be a mix of socially conscious '60s and '70s soul music, my venting about the election and its aftermath, and inviting my listeners to call in with their views. However, since it WILL be Saturday night, I'm not sure people would really want me to get all political on them.
So, what do y'all think? Should I re-program THE SOUL EXPRESS this week to reflect the Tuesday debacle? Inquiring minds want to know!
