Which State Houses are Majority Democrat?
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 05:32 PM by rabid_nerd
How Do they Correlate with Blue States?

Where do I go for a map of this?

On Edit:

"Democrats Edge Republicans
for Control of Chambers"

1. Had a thread on this earlier. NM is one. Maine, I think, need to look
at our returns from last night.

15. I heard today that ME had retained the Democratic majority
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 05:42 PM by MaineDem
I was talking with a state rep this morning and she told me the House was all set.

In the Senate we may have lost 4 seats but we also gained 4 so we should...emphasis on "should"...maintain the slim majority there.

I've been avoiding all media today so I haven't heard any confirmation of this.

Maine Governor, House, and Senate all in Democratic hands!

Edited for spelling!

2. Once you get it, please tell them
to make verifiable voting THE priority.

Nothing else counts if we don't get this.

4. It's not that simple
For example, in NY, where I live, there is a State Assembly (comparable to the House of Representatives, but for NY State, not the nation) and a State Senate. The Assembly is Dem, and the Senate is repuke. Our governor is a repuke (Pataki) but the state has been considered a blue state for decades.

13. It's a shame NY's are such asshats
They are not even able to pass a budget on time, ever! It doesn't even matter to me which party they are, they are just asshats. The anti-smoking thing has forced a lot of our bars to shut down, one of the few viable "industries" left in the Buffalo area. Excuse my rant, but everything just sucks today.

16. Yes I am!
Proud to hail from the Tax & Fee State. Erie County, the home to the soon to be "Medicare Penny", the land of the really good entry level jobs that our President speaks so fondly of. Proud to be from Buffalo, the city that just can't get anything done.

17. The Massachusetts State House, of course.
is overwhelmingly Democratic. Governor Romney tried very hard to recruit opposition, but I don't think he was successful in unseating any incumbent.
