Do everything you can, folks in those states (I am gonna blitz the Maine Legfislature) about election reform: paper trails, ranked voting, better ballot counting tactics, publicly funded elections, open debates...

We can do this! Let's improve our progressive states as much as we can. A better election system means better officials, and better officials means better policies. Fix your home state, then elect the best possible folks to D.C. It'll be slow, but we CAN take our country back from the ground up.

Grassroots power!

2. True enough. I read an article at Common Dreams begging them
to push through IRV this summer.

4. I don't know about legislatures, but Pa and NM have dem governors.
You idea will work, but only if it's in every state. That's what the Pubs did, beginning in the late 60"s. They started with county commissioners and worked their way up. You can't forget about the Dems states, but you must start with the Pub states to make a change. Remember, you're not trying to keep the status quo, you're trying to make a change!

6. Oh, I am not saying ignore the red states, but the blue ones are the
best chance for getting statewide election reform. In the red ones, it'll have to be from the municipal level on up.

7. It is disturbing to see the large chunk of red states on the electoral map
which is why I like the shades of purple one better.

I hope they do one for this round of elections.
