DU nurses what do you plan to do
if the suspected Medical Draft goes through? Is your current license active? Does that make a difference?

1. A nurse of my acquaintance told me that every English-speaking country
in the world has a nursing shortage.

2. true
It might expedite expatriation to Canada. There's an American Hospital in Paris.

I was also wondering about active/inactive status of RN licenses and if that would have any bearing. Mine is active now.

3. I know one thing...
Iraq smelled fishy to me from the very beginning! I do not support this president or his thirst for power. I am checking out Canada, maybe even England. I don't think I could stomach the horrors of war that the front line medical professionals see. Fuck Bush! What a bastard!

4. I would be the last person they would want there
given my outspokeness.

Thing is with a draft, Uncle George can pay you whatever he wants or nothing at all. It will be far less than you could earn here, but then he could just get foriegn nurses here who will work for $100.00/week.

I'm feeling really bitter right now.

5. Every Canadian province is looking for nurses
Most hospitals (except in Ottawa, Ontario and all cities in Quebec) are unilingual.
