I am a student at The University of Alabama, (sorry about the majority of AL voters) and this morning i went to my Eng Lit class knowing i would hear woo hoo *, go dumbya, but what took me by surprise is that i seemed to be the only one in the room who had half the brain to vote for Kerry. They were shocked that a person would vote for a man that doesnt hate gays, doesnt want to rape you with religion, or take away our basic freedoms. As my anger grew i knew that the only way to piss them off: IGNORE THEM. I know its hard. While hearing the onslaught of generic right wing statements a thought came to mind: damn the republicans to hell. Ah but you see i possess something no republican does dignity and self respect i will not belittle myself by getting into a heated argument with people who vote for a monkey.

I am from Lacey's Spring AL a minute south of Huntsville, so I'm used to redneck repubs. A thought entered my mind though. My classmates said they voted for * because of moral issues (gay marriage) but where is the morality in denying a person to be in a committed relationship that is recognized by law. regardless of whether or not its with a man or a woman. Ah yes this is nice only the enlightened minds of us DUers can fathom such a question.
