I love Canada and I love all the Canadians I've ever met. Yall are great neighbors and an inspiration to us. But anyone who bales on America cause of a loser president like Bush is one less whiny brat for us real Democrats to hand-hold during the coming fights. I got four years of bitching, slappin', and truth telling to do and I do not need to hear from a bunch of thin-blooded quitters who can't stand to lose an election in a democracy.

Democracies are not about voting only. Democracy is about speaking up, nagging your representatives, and taking part in how your country is run. It requires active participation and by damn I am going to keep on being active until my last artery pops. Winning an election does not make Bush right. Lying is lying and this boy and his backers are going to pay for what they did. We will be heard and we will overcome.

Good night, DU. Tomorrow it's back to the grind and I for one am looking foreward to it.

3. Perhaps
I think I have seen you post this opposition a few times tonight. I respect your opinion, but must admit I am currently pondering the option of leaving the US. I was a US Marine at age 17 and a republican, though I never voted during this time in my life. After 15 years of education, part at UC Berkeley, I have changed my party affiliations. My fear is that we are now at a time in history much like Germany was in 1933 when Hitler came to power. Bush is no Hitler, but the GOP may be more insidious. I wonder if we are on a course toward an American dark age, which will be a global dark age. Those among us who fear this possibility are considering an exodus. I only hope your optimism comes to fruition. I, personally, may be in Amsterdam before being drafted into the conflagration.
Peace :eyes:

now represents! I want out. You can't teach a pig to sing. Kerry wins or I am gone.I hope.

5. Actually, I was thinking about Europe.
I truly believe the deck is stacked. I watched an ambitious pipsqueak win the governorship. With maybe 2 exceptions, republicans have taken everything on the state and national level here.
