Watching election returns this early is like staring into the sun...

you know it's bad for you, but you just can't help yourself. PBS isn't even starting their coverage until 10:00, because they recognize the pointlessness of releasing numbers this early. I keep having to remind my brother that these percentage points can be VERY misleading, and not to put too much stake in the predictions on CNN and MSNBC right now.

Plus, Zogby has Kerry winning by 98 electoral votes, which I can't help but to keep thinking of since he correctly predicted the outcome of the 2000 debacle before any of it even started. It's gonna be a loooooooong night, and I'm just glad I have enough beer.

3. Basically CNN giving Bush States quickly to keep his numbers up..

Five seconds after voting ended,and I'm sure people were still in line CNN gave Bush Texas up through North Dakota.

That was almost an hour ago and very few votes have even been counted here in Kansas. Of course Chimp will most likely win all those States but I just love how CNN wants as many EV for Chimp as quickly as possible.
