"Rumsfeld's War" re-running on PBS right now
I'm in EST, watching it on NY's channel 13. Don't know where else it might be showing. I know some folks here saw this program the other night when it ran for the first time and said it was well worth watching.

1. It's well worth it.
Amazing how Rumsfeld rolled his own army to sell them a battle plan that doomed them to failure.

The Vietnam experience, and the resulting birth of the Powell Doctrine (the military is only to be deployed when it enjoys overwhleming force; wars against counterinsurgencies are to be avoided at all cost) are brilliantly documented, as is the Cheney/Powell rivalry, which Rumsfeld, who is tight with Cheney, was only too happy to exploit.

The man is a master manipulator; too clever by half, in the instance of the Iraq war.

Hope you can make it to 1:30.
