Help! It should be easy but I don't frequent Drudge
I got this on a preacher site:

Go to www.drudgereport.com right now and tell me exactly which stories are "right wing" or a "dirty trick." If you've ever been to his site you know that he posts stories from other media outlets free of commentary. From time to time he breaks a story from contacts he has in various places. What he breaks is correct over 90% of the time. I wish the rest of the media has such a high rate of accuracy. I go to DU's site and all I see is anti-Bush and pro-Kerry propaganda. Again, I don't see how you're equating these sources.

I just don't have time to track down a reasonable response. If anyone could help with a quick link I'd appreciate it.

1. He does mostly post from other sources
BUT -- he selects those sources. So, he tends to select those stories that support his view. (e.g. I don't think he ever had a story on the Bush bulge, but he had lots of stories on Kerry's pen in the first debate.) Second, he writes the headlines -- often those headlines don't really reflect the story that he links to. He has been called on that regularly. Third he highlights stories that support his views -- he does this by placement on the page -- font size -- and how long he holds the story. Fourth, he does "break" stories himself, and in those he clearly takes a view.

3. Thanks.
I actually took the time to answer this challenge and there on the front page of the Drudge Rag was a hatchet job on Chelsea Clinton.

I guess she's fair game since she's not gay.

2. Ask him where he gets the 90% figure
And ask him if it's acceptable for a "newsman" to get a scoop wrong ten percent of the time.

4. Good question
I remember hearing a number about his "correctness" percentage. I don't remember where. I do remember it wasn't anywhere near 90%. Not even close.

5. LOL I remember his headline "Found 'Em"
Over the discovery of the aluminum tubes as evidence of WMDs.

FWIW, he never seems to retract anything. Remember Kerry's "affair," another "story" he, uh, broke?

6. 90%.. LMAO about 2 or 3 months ago
ABC reported that Drudge had a 37% accuracy rating. Drudge thought that was so good he posted it on his front page. "ABC reports 37% accuracy rating for Drudge". I kept looking for the punch line but it was serious, he thought that was good. I wish I had saved the page.. sorry
